At the heart of Miro’s new headquarters in Amsterdam, a living artwork transforms real-time data into a continuous flow of color, shape, and light. Running 24/7, this installation turns the activity of millions of users worldwide into a dynamic environment — a seamless LED canvas that evolves with every idea shared on Miro.

This project was created as part of my role at TSC, The Storytelling Company. It is shared here for portfolio purposes, with full respect to the ownership rights of the original client.

The system captures live data from Miro (the number of active users and sticky notes created across continents) and translates it into visual elements.
Each shape carries meaning: color reflects origin, size responds to volume, and textures emerge as thresholds are crossed.
The result is a constantly shifting language of forms that mirrors the global rhythm of collaboration.
The artwork extends across a continuous LED wall wrapping around the coffee area of Miro’s headquarters.
Designed to be both immersive and ambient, it flows without interruption, surrounding employees and visitors with a real-time expression of collective creativity.
Instead of a static display, the installation behaves like a living system — always present, always in motion.

Beyond activity data, the piece is synchronized with the natural cycles of Amsterdam itself.
The background evolves month by month, and the lighting follows the city’s real day and night rhythm: shorter days in winter, longer light in summer.
This grounding in place gives the work a sense of belonging, connecting global digital activity to local physical time.

Every visual element reacts not only in shape and size, but also in material and texture.
From subtle surface variations to rare metallic finishes that appear when data reaches exceptional volumes, the installation gives form to scale and intensity.
It’s an abstract yet legible system — visitors quickly grasp that they are witnessing the pulse of Miro’s community in real time.
The Miro Data Artwork transforms headquarters into more than a workplace: it becomes a canvas of collective intelligence.
By embodying user activity as a spatial, evolving experience, the installation reflects Miro’s vision of creativity without boundaries, making the invisible energy of collaboration both tangible and inspiring.
